When I saw that today was “World Photography Day”, I was like, “that’s cool!”. Then I started thinking about it and I got a little sentimental. The world of photography is HUGE to me. What I do, or I should say, what I get to do for a living everyday makes me feel grateful. I truly cannot imagine doing anything else. I love creating and making women feel fabulous through my photography. When you can see someone come in that is very insecure and doesn’t like photos of themself do a complete 180* and ask if it’s ok to like so many of their pictures during their ordering appointment, that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. It’s one the best compliments ever!

Also, I should say that not all women come in this way. Some are very excited and fairly confident with their bodies. However, that is not the norm. We all have insecurities of some kind. It doesn’t matter what body shape or size, we have something about our bodies that we “don’t like” for whatever reason.

Then, this is where I get to work my magic as some clients say. Whether they are younger, older, or thinner or cuvier, it doesn’t matter to me because I can see the beauty in each lady that has walked through my doors. Being able to show them what I see through my camera is what I love to do.

I can’t explain the feeling I get when I hear how happy my clients are with their images. I’ve had some tell me it’s one of the best decisions they’ve ever made; some tell me their confidence grew so much that it helped them get a promotion at work. Wow! That’s a big one, right?! And then, even bigger, some have cried because they realize they ARE beautiful, but they had been in unhealthy relationships for so long they couldn’t see it anymore. It’s truly humbling and satisfying to know that me and my camera can do this. That I can make a difference in someone’s life through photography makes me the luckiest girl in the world!
