Can you guess what the number 1 reason is that’s stopping women from booking their boudoir session? Certainly, almost every client says this to me. Have you figured out what it is and said it to yourself yet? Yes, you’re right. The answer is “I need to loose weight; I need to loose 10 more pounds; I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been; I’m just too big; or I’m afraid you won’t have any lingerie to fit me!”
You don’t have to worry about your weight
That is to say, I can tell you that I’ve heard these comments from nearly every woman that has walked through my doors. But let’s be honest, you will always have an excuse that your weight isn’t where you want it to be, but that just isn’t a good enough reason to not experience a boudoir session. Likewise, you walk in self-conscious and a little nervous. But, I have some good news for you. Everyone walks out feeling beautiful and in awe at how gorgeous their images are from their session. It’s totally normal to be nervous and to worry. However, I have been trained to pose and light you in the most flattering ways for each and every one of your body types. You won’t have to worry about a thing, because I will pose you down to your fingers and toes!
One of my favorite parts of the session is the first time I show you the back of the camera. I absolutely love to hear the gasps, ahhhs, ohhhhs, and WOWS that come from you. Believe it or not, I’ve even had a few tear up and almost bawl. However, we can’t have any of that! We don’t want your makeup to run. 🙂
You are in good hands
Ultimately, I want you to feel confident that you are in good hands. Once you sit in the makeup chair and the girl talk begins, your nerves will subside and you will start to enjoy yourself.
Boudoir photography is such a vulnerable and intimate experience and even during my own boudoir session(photo above), I felt awkward at first too. Trust me, I appreciate the courage it takes to open up and allow me to capture what I see in you and that you sometimes don’t even know you possess! So, if you don’t know it now, you will at the end of your session. You are beautiful. Even today…no matter what size you are, you are beautiful NOW! Trust me and just do the shoot. 😉
